Get up close and personal with the 1:1 magnification ratio of the full-frame compatible FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens for Sony's E-mount cameras. As a G series lens, it perfectly balances sharpness and bokeh through the use of various specialized elements, this ensures highly detailed images, with smooth out-of-focus areas, and an absolute minimum of aberrations. The lens also boasts a fast f/2.8 aperture for controlling depth of field and working in less-than-ideal light as well as a Nano AR coating that helps eliminate ghosting and flare.
Critical to macro is accurate focusing, which is assisted by the speedy Direct Drive Super Sonic wave Motor present in the 90mm lens. Users also have direct access to a focus hold button and focus range limiter for further optimizing the lens' performance in certain situations. On top of this, the focusing ring slides for immediate switching between manual and autofocusing. And, the lens has built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization for compensating for camera shake at all focusing distances.

Good, sharp lens. One of Sony's best, really made my pictures pop, even with my APS-C a6600. Renewed product came in original packaging with manual and protective film.
I do a lot of solo stock footage and cinematography and love that this lens can shoot close-up subjects and I can use the audio right out of the camera without needing an external mic. A lot of macro lenses are really loud while they focus. This one is really quiet and quick.
Also, F2.8 means AMAZING low-light performance with colors that absolutely pop.

I'm no professional. Using on an A6500. I have always had "issues" with the autofocus on all but the cheap lenses on this camera. Only have a couple of hours on the lens so far, but liking both the manual & auto focus options. I am about to spend a week testing it I will post pix after.

This is a gem of a lens, but those spider eyes don't come easy. The renewed product was affordable, and had no signs of previous use. I'm happy, and learning.

I.S. in lens PLUS I.S. in-camera, and I've got rock steady video while handheld! Good Autofocus for portraits, but not so good for macro, as expected for any macro lens. Very narrow depth of field in macro but superb as well! I use this lens for xlnt video as well.

I took the chance and purchased this 5 months ago. I used it only for product photography in a studio. No drops or rough treatment. Auto-focus stopped working. I can hear the buzzing of it trying to do something but no focus. All the reviews about image quality are accurate. But my experience with reliability is .... 5 months of light use. Renewed may mean it was returned because of a defect. And now, am I stuck without a warranty or a way to get it fixed?

I’m a hobbyist using this on a Sony A6600 for still photos. This lens it great fun. Super sharp, 1:1 macro, good working distance. I have no complaints. There are cheaper options in the market, but there aren’t better options.
I often go on nature walks with my kids, and they find all manner of little creatures. On these walks, I like to take portraits of my kids and portraits of their finds - and this lens is a perfect tool for doing both.

the product wasn’t refurbished properly. Could see visible fungus/dust in the inner glass elements and also the camera (Sony A7C) wasn’t able to detect the lens- I’m assuming some inner circuitry was also dysfunctional
