คาดว่าในตอนนี้หลายคนน่าจะสนุกสนานกับ Resident Evil 2 Remake กันอย่างมากมายอยู่แน่นอน บางคนก็อาจจะคิดว่าเกมมีความท้าทายมาก หรือคิดว่าเกมยากจนเล่นไม่ไหว แต่ก็อย่าได้กลัวไป เพราะวันนี้ทาง GamingDose จะมาแนะนำเทคนิคการเอาตัวรอดเบื้องต้นให้สามารถมีชีวิตรอดไปจนจบเกมแบบง่าย ๆ มาฝากทุกคนกันแล้วครับ

สำหรับทริกเหล่านี้ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Leon หรือ Claire ก็สามารถใช้ได้เหมือนกัน เพราะนี่ถือเป็นทริกทั่วไปที่ผู้เล่นควรทราบและไม่ควรละเลย เพราะจะทำให้เล่นได้สะดวกมากขึ้น โดยสื่งที่ควรทำในเกมมีดังต่อไปนี้

อ่านแผนที่ให้เป็น

RE 2 Remake มาพร้อมระบบแผนที่แบบใหม่ที่ใช้งานได้สะดวกมาก ๆ เพราะมันบอกทั้งไอเท็มที่อยู่ในห้องนั้นที่เรายังไม่ได้เก็บไปเป็นไอคอนชัดเจน และมีสีแสดงสถานะบ่งบอกว่าบริเวณนั้นเป็นอย่างไรอย่างละเอียด ซึ่งห้องที่มีสีแดงคือห้องที่ยังสำรวจไม่หมดหรือมีไอเท็มอยู่ด้านใน ทำให้เรารู้ได้ทันทีว่ามีห้องไหนมีสิ่งที่เราพลาดไปได้ แต่ถ้าห้องเป็นสีฟ้า หมายความว่าไม่มีอะไรให้สำรวจแล้ว

จัดการช่องเก็บของให้เป็น

Resident Evil คือเกมที่เล่นกับการจัดการทรัพยากรอย่างแท้จริง ด้วยช่องเก็บของที่มีจำกัด ทำให้เราไม่สามารถถือของทุกอย่างได้ ทั้งไอเท็มแก้ปริศนา อาวุธ และยาฟื้นพลัง ทุกอย่างนี้ล้วนต้องใช้ช่องในการเก็บของ และถึงแม้เราจะได้กระเป๋า Hip Poach มาเพิ่มช่องเก็บก็ต้องระวังในการเก็บของอยู่ดี ที่ควรทำที่สุดก็คือต้องวางแผนว่าจะเอาอะไรติดตัวไปบ้าง และต้องเหลือช่องเก็บของเอาไว้เสมอ เพราะบางทีเราก็อาจจะได้ไอเท็มผ่านฉากหรืออาวุธใหม่โดยที่ไม่คาดฝันได้เหมือนกัน

และสิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดในภาคนี้ที่เพิ่มมาใหม่ก็คือการเลือกทิ้งไอเท็มกุญแจต่าง ๆ เพราะตัวเกมจะไม่ทิ้งให้เราอัตโนมัติแล้วเวลาที่ใช้งานจนหมด แต่ก็จะมีสัญลักษณ์ถูกแสดงขึ้นมา ก็ทำให้เราสามารถบริหารสิ่งของในตัวได้ดีขึ้นด้วย

*แนะนำให้เหลือกระเป๋าไว้ 1 ช่องเสมอ เพราะบางครั้งเราจำเป็นต้องเก็บ Key Item จากเนื้อเรื่อง

ใช้แผ่นไม้ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด

Wooden Board หรือแผ่นไม้จัดเป็นไอเท็มใหม่ที่มีประโยชน์มหาศาล เพราะในหน้าต่างบางจุดของสถานีตำรวจจะมีซอมบี้คอยทุบหน้าต่างเพื่อเข้ามาด้านใน และถ้าหากทุบมากเข้าก็จะทำให้กระจกในจุดนั้นพังได้ และเหล่าซอมบี้ทั้งหลายก็จะเข้ามาจากช่องนั้นเต็มไปหมด ให้ลองดูว่าจุดไหนที่เราต้องเดินผ่านบ่อย ๆ ก็ให้เอาแผ่นไม้มาปิดไว้จะช่วยให้การเดินทางของเรามีอุปสรรคน้อยลง

ไม่จำเป็นต้องยิงซอมบี้ทุกตัวที่เจอ

เนื่องจากกระสุนในภาคนี้มีน้อยลงมาก ขัดกับจำนวนของศัตรูที่มากขึ้น ทำให้ต้องคิดให้หนักกว่าเดิมว่าจะสู้หรือจะหนี และการใช้อาวุธยิงเพื่อสังหารนั้นควรทำเป็นอย่างสุดท้าย เพราะยิ่งยิงมาก กระสุนก็ยิ่งร่อยหรอ และบางทีเราก็ไม่สามารถคาดเดาได้ว่าจะไปเจอกับบอสตอนไหน ดังนั้นถ้าหนีได้ก็ควรหนีก่อนจะดีกว่า ตัวไหนที่เดินหนีได้ก็ควรหนี ดีกว่ายิงจนกระสุนหมดแล้วมาลำบากทีหลัง

อย่าเปลืองกระสุนกับ Tyrant

Tyrant หรือ Mr.X จะปรากฏตัวออกมาในช่วงก่อนเข้าสู่กลางเกม และจะตามล่าตามล้างเราอย่างไม่ลดละ ซึ่งมันมีทั้งความอึดและโจมตีได้รุนแรง เมื่อเจอแล้วอย่าเสียเวลายิงใส่มันยกเว้นจวนตัวจริง ๆ เท่านั้น เพราะในภาคนี้หลังจากที่เรายิงมันจนทรุด มันจะไม่ดรอปของใด ๆ ให้ทั้งสิ้น และแน่นอนว่ามันก็จะลุกขึ้นมาตามล่าเราใหม่เมื่อถึงจุดหนึ่ง การยิงใส่มันจึงเป็นสิ่งที่เสียเปล่าอย่างที่สุด จงหนีไปให้ไกลเมื่อเจอมัน หรือไม่ก็หลบเข้าห้องเซฟ เพราะมันจะไม่ตามเราเข้ามาอย่างแน่นอน

ผสมสมุนไพรเมื่อมีโอกาสเสมอ

สมุนไพรสีต่าง ๆ ในเกมล้วนมีคุณสมบัติที่แตกต่างกันไป แต่ประสิทธิภาพจะดียิ่งขึ้นไปอีกขั้นถ้าหากมีการผสมกันตั้งแต่สองชื้นขึ้นไป อย่าใช้สมุนไพรแบบเดี่ยว ๆ เพื่อฟื้นพลังชีวิตยกเว้นกรณีจวนตัว หรือถ้าอยากเอาตัวรอดให้นานขึ้นก็ควรฟื้นพลังด้วยสมุนไพรทั้งสามสี ที่นอกจากจะฟื้นพลังจนเต็มแล้ว ยังช่วยเพิ่มพลังป้องกันขึ้นมาชั่วขณะด้วย

ทั้งหมดนี้ก็เป็นทริกเล็ก ๆ น้อยที่เราหยิบมาฝากกันสำหรับผู้เล่นมือใหม่ ส่วนผู้เล่นที่ชำนาญแล้วไม่ได้ทำอะไรเป็นพิเศษ ก็สามารถพูดคุยพร้อมแนะนำกันเพิ่มเติมได้เหมือนเช่นเคยครับ

When Does Mr. X Show Up?

In the original Resident Evil 2, Mr. X only appeared during the B Scenario and was a generally small part of the overall story – albeit an important one.

In Resident Evil 2 Remake, Mr. X is arguably the real antagonist over William Birkin and plays a far more pivotal role narratively and in terms of gameplay. As far as Resident Evil 2 is concerned, Mr. X is a core part of the gameplay loop.

Mr. X has two separate triggers depending if you are on their first or second run. On a first run, Mr. X won’t be triggered until after putting out the burning helicopter roughly a third of the way into the game.

You can clear out most of the RPD (along with picking up new weapons) without needing to trigger Mr. X on a first run. This isn’t the case on a second run where Mr. X appears much earlier.

Since the second run canonically takes place a bit later than the first run, Mr. X has already entered the RPD (Racoon Police Department).

Mr. X will start following after you as soon as they explore the S.T.A.R.S. Office on a second run, which actually needs to be done relatively early.

As a result, you’ll be dealing with Mr. X for virtually the entire game and long before Leon or Claire get their best weapons.

Best Ways To Avoid Mr.X

The key to avoiding Mr. X is understanding Resident Evil 2’s relationship with noise. Every action you make – from running to shooting to closing doors – can be heard and detected by surrounding enemies.

This goes double for Mr. X, whose incredible sense of hearing means he’ll pick up on your location from halfway across the RPD.

If Leon or Claire slams a door shut, Mr. X will hear it and come after them. If you run, Mr. X will listen to the footsteps so he knows where to cut you off.

Mr.X is slow but smart and actively searching for you at all times. For this reason, it’s imperative to clear out most of the enemies in the RPD before triggering Mr. X – this is considerably easier on a first run than the second.

Avoiding Mr. X is all about taking things slow and avoiding unnecessary confrontations.

There will be times when Leon and Claire will need to hunker down and shoot some zombies, but there are multiple instances in the RPD where walking around is safer and keeps Mr. X at a respectable distance.

If Mr. X does track you down, duck into a safe room to cut him off – he has full access to the Main Hall, though.

Leon And Mr. X

It's important to keep in mind that Leon and Claire have completely different relationships with Mr. X. While the Tyrant will always be triggered in the same way regardless of character, how long Mr. X pursues you depends entirely on who you play as.

Unfortunately, Leon's playthrough has him up against Mr. X for virtually the entire story.

Mr. X follows Leon throughout the RPD, into the Greenhouse, and all the way down to NEST. Leon's first Run even culminates with him facing off against Mr. X as the final boss.

Playing as Leon means committing to a playthrough where Mr. X never stops stalking you. Fortunately, avoiding Mr. X in both the Greenhouse & NEST is particularly easy since both areas are fairly linear, and he's only triggered as you're wrapping up.

Claire And Mr. X

Claire's relationship with Mr. X is much less strenuous than Leon's. While Claire has to contend with Mr. X throughout most of the RPD, he's cycled out of her story surprisingly quickly.

William Birkin actually kills Mr. X during Claire's playthrough, resulting in a stalker phase that only lasts as long as the RPD itself.

Claire is totally free to explore the Greenhouse and NEST at her leisure, making her playthrough a bit more in line with the original Resident Evil 2's pacing.

Mr. X On Hardcore

Resident Evil 2 makes a lot of key changes to its gameplay on a Hardcore playthrough, the most obvious being the extra damage enemies deal and the fact Typewriters now need Ink Ribbons to save – just like in the classic games.

Mr. X also undergoes a subtle change in Hardcore mode, gaining a significant speed boost.

On a standard playthrough, it’s perfectly possible to outrun Mr. X so long as you keep your pace up. This is considerably harder on a Hardcore playthrough where Mr. X walks faster.

With fewer items and ammo to find across the RPD, contending with Mr. X becomes a different game altogether. Where stealth was once a suggestion, it becomes mandatory for consistent survival. Keep quiet, and keep Mr. X off your trail.
