I don’t have to carry my standard len and my 200mm anymore, save me a lot s of weight, one lens fits all for general travel.

I am updating this review after finally receiving the product. The lens is in fantastic shape and works great, so I have zero complaints there. Reason for 4/5 stars is due to the very delayed shipping and the fact that I had no tracking info for over a week, so I had no idea if the package was even on its way to me.

Outside of the packaging, this lens is pristine adn in brand new condition, I suspect its from a kit (a7+28-70) thats been split up for sale.
Excellent value for me as I bought my camera body only, and a few years after buying it want to get the kit lens to lighten my carry weight from 5 lenses to 2. The lens is silent, the focus is fast, and the aperture is pretty standard for these focal ranges.
Materials could be better, but honestly youre just paying for the glass here, sony must have made this for pennies on the dollar. for 200$ its worth picking up, but dont expect a metal build.

If not for the packaging, I would have thought it was a new lens. I was not expecting it to look, feel and perform like a brand new lens. Performance is great, super fast focus and talks to My a6000 about exposure info just as quick.

this lens is just beyond awesome. its very versatile. I'm using it on my a6500. I've taken several great photos with them. it completely changed the way i take photos. I would definitely recommend this, especially for the price. definitely a must buy.

worked perfectly, like new. I have a sony a6000, and this was a perfect upgrade vs the stock lens for now.
