I was testing out Cerave Cleansers for my skin, and I randomly decided to try out the foaming cleanser. As we all know, Cerave has about seven cleansers for various skin types and concerns. So, you need to find the one that works best for your skin. Subsequently, I’ll be doing a more in-depth post breaking down all the cleansers. But for today, let’s focus on the Foaming Cleanser targeted at people with Normal to Oily Skin. I used this cleanser briefly with no expectations whatsoever, and I must say, I’ve been very impressed. It isn’t targeted to my skin type, as I have dry skin, but it’s just a gentle, non-stripping foaming cleanser that everyone can use. I think I can finally understand the Cerave hype for the first time ever, especially behind this cleanser. Before I go any further, let’s see what this cleanser is all about. First Impressions of the Cerave Foaming CleanserAccording to Cerave;
Ingredient List & FragranceWhen it comes to Cerave products, I never really pay too much attention to the ingredient list because the base formula is essentially the same across the board. You also have your Hyaluronic Acid and three essential Ceramides sprinkled with Cholesterol and Niacinamide for this cleanser. The latter is the star ingredient to tackle oil control. As always, it is alcohol, essential oil and fragrance-free. Texture & ConsistencyThis has a gel texture that is not too thick or watery, which I really love. I typically love foaming gel cleansers because they’re usually more hydrating for my skin, and this isn’t any different. The gel lathers enough to remove sunscreen and residues of makeup as long as you have oil cleansed beforehand. But if you want to skip using an oil or balm as your first cleanse, you can completely use the foaming cleanser to take it all off. You will just have to cleanse twice. Packaging, Price & AvailabilityAs with most Cerave products, this cleanser is also packaged in their signature pump bottle in about three sizes, including 236ml, 473ml and 562ml. Also, I’m convinced that you can find Cerave products at every corner of the world That’s how popular they are right now. SHOP ON AMAZON Review of the Cerave Foaming CleanserI have dry skin, which is typically prone to dehydration, but I love foaming cleansers because they help me cleanse my skin thoroughly. Yes, non-foaming cleansers like the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser are great for the morning cleanse. But at night, when you want to take it all out, you need a foaming cleanser to do the job. While this product has been formulated for normal to oily skin, I can categorically say it is hydrating enough to use for dry skin. Honestly, I was impressed by how hydrated and soft my skin was afterwards. It didn’t strip my skin of any moisture. Instead, it left it soft and hydrated, which is brilliant because even oily skin needs hydration. To summarize, here are some of the pros and cons of the product to inform your purchasing decision; Pros
Cons
I honestly cannot think of any downsides to this cleanser. It’s basic but gets the work done. FinallyThis is a great cleanser that I think everyone should try at least once. Your skin might or might not like it. But if it does, it’s gonna love it! |
